We adopt a simple, six step approach to RPL, making the process as quick and as painless as possible.
A brief outline of the six steps are:
- Step one - Information is provided about the process, and we outline the requirements that will need to be met.
- Step two - Participants gather evidence to support the various elements of competencies that RPL is appropriate to and prepare a portfolio.
- Step three - The portfolio is completed and submitted to Dovaston for expert review and assessment.
- Step four - The actual assessment is conducted by two assessors. Both are qualified workplace assessors, and one in particular will be an industry expert. This step may involve a group interview and discussion where the participants will have the opportunity to reflect on and evaluate the process.
- Step five - Notification of the result of the RPL process. If additional training or evidence is required, details will be negotiated at this stage.
- Step six - The issuing of credentials and return of the participants' portfolios.
